After many attempts of taking pictures, I finally set the camera up in a tree and sat on the ground. I sharpened the picture, adjusted the contrast, cropped it, and changed it to black and white using Picasa. I'm not usually this serious, but I was tired of taking pictures of myself with fake smiles.

Great picture! I never thought of putting a camera up in a tree to take a self-portrait. You are very creative-that is totally awesome. I really like the contrast the black and white provides, especially between your hair and your shirt. One note- if you lift your head up slightly, it would open up the picture and show more of your face. Nevertheless, you captured an awesome picture! Congrats.
