I have never done a self-portrait like this and am not sure
if I did this right but did my best with what I had
...I used 3 lights: outside lighting, a light to my very far right, and a light to my left...
(self-portraits taken by Missy G., my sister).
I had a hard time deciding what to do, but in the end
I decided I don't really like killing flies...so here it is! :)

I liked your idea, you have some great expressions! I think I would have liked to see what this looked like as a full body shot, might add some dramatic emphasis.
You DO have interesting expressions, I just think it needed a title or explanation.
Also, why did you choose to make one black and white and one color? If you want them to work together (which I think you do), I would choose color or black and white and stick with it. Otherwise, I look at one in black and white, then I see the next in color and my brain says, "oh, we're switching gear."
Way to put humor into your portraits.
