The Unbusy Bees - Sarah Foster

The other day I was walking in my backyard enjoying my day. When I looked in my flower bed, I saw a bunch of little black dots on a plant. As I looked closer I thought, are those beetles? But NO they were bees! The bees were really out of character because they were taking as much time as possible. So I quickly ran inside to get my camera (I was so exited). It also was really cool that the bees didn't mind how close I got to them with my camera lens. After the shots were taken I realized this had been a once in a life time experience because how often do you get a chance to photograph bees that are not busy.

This is a great shot! I love how its so close and the blurring of the grass in the front of the picture.
